Mass mobilisation is GO for Mar 1st!
Do you live or work near the Ivy House?
Has it played a part in your life?
Are you in a local community group?
Sarah Turner is inviting you to take part in a simple filmed community event in Peckham Rye for her documentary feature film ‘Public House’.
There are more details below, but you can go straight here to sign up and let us know you are coming:
The event will see the creative energy from within the Ivy House flow out on to the streets to nearby Peckham Rye common, where we will re-imagine William Blake’s vision of angels through poetry, dance and movement.
We’re especially encouraging community groups to attend and walk together.
Friends, family, partners, children, dogs also very welcome!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Schedule for Sunday 1st March:
11.00am All meet at Ivy House pub for tea/coffee/snacks
11.30am Walk to Peckham Rye common (0.5 miles / 10 mins walk)
12.00pm Carry out very simple dance steps, recite poetry, light candles and wave mirrors
(all with guidance from the Public House crew!)
1.00pm Finish and gather at Café on the Rye for more tea/coffee/snacks
Update: Please do bring a small mirror (i.e. compact or similar) if you have one. We'll have a few, but it's looking like a good turnout, so we may well not have enough for everyone.
If you are involved with or lead a local group who might be interested in taking part, please do get in touch with thepublichousefilm@gmail.com, or talk to us on Twitter (@publichousefilm) or Facebook (Public House Film). Links to both are over on the right, as is a box to sign up to our newsletter for the latest updates.
Remember, we'd love you to sign up and let us know you're coming at:
public-house-mass-assembly.eventbrite.co.uk
Please do share this with all - we're looking to involve and engage the whole community!
