In 2012/13 The Ivy House narrowly escaped becoming yet another block of luxury London flats when the local community had the venue listed as an Asset of Community Value, and raised the money to buy it from a property developer.

The Ivy House tell that story best themselves though, and their website is here:

If you've stumbled across this page, but don't share a history with The Ivy House, then we would encourage you to visit regardless. It can be found here just off Peckham Rye.

The Ivy house is committed to the local community in a variety of ways, and sources its wine from Liberty Wines of Clapham, and serve ethical coffee supplied by Volcano Coffee of Dulwich. They also welcome:

  • Dogs

  • Cyclists (and have bike racks outside)

  • Vegetarians and vegans

  • Well-supervised children
